About Us

Great Brook Farm

Founded in 1761, Great Brook Farm is a 170‑acre property in Walpole, NH, stewarded by the same family for ten generations. Once a full working farm with milk cows and crops sold at the farm store, we’ve evolved into a modern maple operation. Our state‑of‑the‑art sugar house can produce up to 700 gallons of pure New Hampshire maple syrup in a good season.

Our values are simple: quality, education, and community. We welcome visitors for hands‑on demonstrations, tastings, and tours that show how sap becomes syrup. To schedule a private tour or a school visit, call us at 603‑313‑8914.

Maple Weekend

Join us for New Hampshire Maple Weekend on March 21–22, 2026. Great Brook Sugar House will be open 12:00–4:00 PM both days for demonstrations, syrup tastings on ice cream and waffles, and guided sugarhouse tours.

New Hampshire Maple Syrup Weekend Event Highlights:

  • Dates: March 21–22, 2026
  • Activities: Sugarhouse tours, syrup sampling, pancake breakfasts
  • Tip: Wear boots — fields can be muddy Map of participating sugarhouses: NH Maple Map

NH Seal of Quality

We proudly participate in New Hampshire’s Seal of Quality program. While NH doesn’t mandate statewide regulation of maple syrup, the Seal of Quality identifies producers who meet rigorous, state‑monitored standards for density, color, and flavor. Participating sugarhouses undergo periodic inspections and must be members of the New Hampshire Maple Producers Association, giving customers added confidence in product authenticity and quality.

Harvest Host

Great Brook Sugar House welcomes Harvest Hosts members to enjoy overnight RV stays by reservation on our 170‑acre family farm. Guests can take in peaceful rural views, join seasonal sugarhouse demonstrations and tastings (including Maple Weekend) or arrange a private tour during their visit. Please note we do not offer utility hookups -sites are on mowed grass off the highway for a quiet experience- so book ahead and review stay guidelines. Fall Mountain Educational Endowment

Each year, Great Brook Sugar House donates 10% of gross receipts from maple syrup sales made between Thanksgiving and Christmas to the Fall Mountain Educational Endowment Association to support local schools and enrichment programs. This program helps local schools participate in programs outside the scope of their budgets. Click here for more information.
